British Virgin Islands Sailing Itinerary

Day 1
Road Town, Tortola

Meet your new crewmates and Captain. You arrive in the afternoon and get acquainted with your boat, your new home for the days ahead. Your captain will hold a meeting to discuss the itinerary, review safety procedures, and get everyone ready for the journey ahead. You'll enjoy dining on deck while watching the sunset over the Caribbean.

Day 7- Saturday          Return to Marina

We end our journey form where we started, docking our boat around 12 noon. Those not departing on early flights can enjoy lunch at a restaurant nearby or take a splash in the pool. If you have the time, make plans to stay another night at a local hotel.
Day 4
The Baths & Bitter End Yacht Club, Virgin Gorda

We sail back over to the BVI and pick up a day mooring at the Baths. This is a spectacular geological wonder of huge boulders the size of a house. After here, we're off to the Bitter End Yacht Club. The club is a resort offering fine dinning, shopping or a chance to relax and watch the sunset from a beach chair.
Day 3
Christiansted/St Croix

This is our long passage where you'll get to practice your plotting and charting skills. Will drop anchor here behind Protestant Cay and head ashore for dinner. Here you’ll discover the Danish architecture and history that made Christiansted the one-time capital of Danish West Indies. This passage requires good weather and maybe subject to change.

Day 2
The Indians/Norman Island

The Indian's (at right) are a geological wonder. Here you'll discover schools of beautiful silversides and colorful coral. After snorkeling, we set sail for Norman Island. It is said that Norman Island was the setting for Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. Everyone aboard will be given instruction on how to operate our tender. We use this smaller boat to get from our yacht to the shore. Tonight we have dinner aboard the schooner Willy T anchored next to our boat in the bay.

Day 6

Sandy Cay & Jost Van Dyke

Sandy Cay, is located south of Jost Van Dyke, and looks like a Hollywood version of a desert island. Only 14 acres large, it is accessible by motoring in by tender from our anchored yacht. Anchoring is tricky here, but your Port Sailing School Captain has the local knowledge to make it easy. Our day ends with a short sail to Jost Van Dyke, the home of Foxy's. Foxy's is the quintessential beach bar offering the best casual dinning experience with entertainment.

Day 5
The Dogs/Leverick Bay, Virgin Gorda

The Dogs, a collection of tiny islands to the east of Virgin Gorda, boasts several diving/ snorkeling sites including The Chimney, Coral Gardens, and Bronco Billy's.  Here you will see amazing rock formations, vibrant corals, and may even free dive down to an airplane wreck!

This a sample itinerary subject to change to meet the desires of our guests or due to weather conditions. No matter what the destination is, you'll have a great time sailing with a captain with years of experience sailing these waters.
