Working at Port Sailing can be an exciting and fun job. If you have a desire to enter the maritime industry, Port Sailing can be your gateway to working on the sea. We seek people who are outgoing leaders with a desire to teach others and with an ability to learn more.

 

Most positions are seasonal summer jobs.

 

At Port Sailing you can earn sea time to work your way to getting your Captains license for Masters Limited and Unlimited. Training available and tuition assistance for Sea School classes. 

 

Positions include: Launch Operators, Reservations, Adult Programs Sailing Instructor, Junior Sailing Instructors, and ICSA Race Coaches.

Requirements

  • Positions of working on the water require drug testing and random testing while actively working. This is a US Coast Guard requirement.

  • Minimum age to work on the water is 17.

  • Positions requiring a USCG licensing also require TWIC cards.    

  • Must have basic computer skills for reservations.  

  • Federal background checks maybe required for some position.

  • First Aid and CPR required for Junior Instructor and Launch Operator.
