Optimist 2
Our Optimist 2 program is brand-new for 2024! This group is designed for children who have prior sailing experience on Optis. This program will teach children the basics of racing and if desired, give them the opportunity to participate in Green Fleet events designed to focus on sportsmanship and learning to race.

Safety
We provide all safety equipment for sailing, including a USCG-certified Type III life jacket and an emergency whistle. Sailing can be dangerous due to the nature of being on the water. Our instructors are trained to teach and protect children; everyone holds a US Sailing Small Boat Level 1 instructor certification. Furthermore, all instructors are certified in CPR and first aid. On average, our instructors have four years of coaching experience and ten years of sailing expierence.
